Slow Train Across Erie

This was the last train trip on my Around the World cruise. I'm glad I did them all and they were all different. The Iarnrod Erieann train wasn't near as fast as most of the others I'd been on but, it got the job done. Everything was much less formal from the ticket office, waiting area, boarding, the passenger car and lack of railway crew in the passenger cars.

That informality and lack of urgency I was to learn was pretty typical in Ireland.  That being said, the countryside across Erie was so green and so beautiful.  There was little else to distinguish it, except sheep: lots and lots of sheep.
